Once you have registered and paid via the above websites the administrators at ALSC will be notified. Once your Volunteer Working with Children's Check has been received by the club your membership will be activated.
Working with Children Checks
All members of the club over the age of 18 are required to have a volunteer's Working With Children Check. Under no circumstances will memberships be activated unless your WWCC registration has been verified by the Club.

The primary mission of Altona Life Saving Club is to provide a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for all visitors to our beaches. Over the summer period (end November through to Easter) the club provides volunteer beach patrols on weekends and public holidays. As a patrolling member of the club you will play an important role in the provision of this vital community service.
Victoria's coastline and inland waterways are unique and their recreational opportunities endless. The club is keen to ensure that all visitors are aware of their own abilities and the potential dangers at the beach. We train volunteer lifesavers in aquatic rescue and resuscitation techniques as well as offering water safety education to the general beach going public.
ALSC is able to offer all volunteers:
• water safety
• sport
• recreation; and
• social opportunities

• Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealings with others.
• Be professional in, and accept responsibility for, your actions.
• Make a commitment to providing quality service.
• Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to, LSV and SLSA standards, rules, regulations and policies.
• Operate within the rules of surf lifesaving including national and international guidelines that govern LSV and SLSA.
• Understand your responsibility if you breach, or are aware of any breaches of, the code of conduct.
• Refrain from any form of abuse towards others.
• Refrain from any form of harassment towards others.
• Provide a safe environment for the conduct of the activity in accordance with relevant LSV and SLSA policy.
• Show concern and caution towards others who may be sick or injured.
• Be a positive role model.
